Ending violence against women & girls

We are 16 Days Penzance, a grassroots campaign group bringing our community together to help end violence against women and girls. Each year, we take part in the global 16 Days of Activism campaign – a UN Women initiative running from 25 November to 10 December. We aim to raise awareness, spark conversations, and create change, right here in Cornwall. Find out more

Together as a community, we are sending a strong, visible message: Penzance does not accept violence against women and girls.

Violence against women & girls is not inevitable.

A community taking a stand

From our solidarity walk and vigil, to person safety classes, to dance nights - 16 Days of Activism saw the community come together while raising awareness of our campaign to end violence against women and girls. 27 events took place, with over 1,500 people attending.
