Pledge to end violence
Violence against women and girls is not inevitable - it’s preventable. But it won’t stop unless we all take responsibility.
We especially welcome men and boys to take part. Everyone has a role to play in making our community safer.
This is a private, personal pledge – names won’t be shared publicly.
I pledge to help make Penzance and the surrounding area a safe place for women and girls, free from violence, harassment and abuse.
I will:
-
“Listen to and believe women and girls when they speak about their experiences – and stand with survivors by showing empathy and signposting to local services.”
-
“Challenge sexist, misogynistic, or abusive language and behaviour – whether it’s in public, online, or in private conversations.”
-
“Model respect in my everyday actions and words, and speak up when I see or hear something that isn’t right.”
-
“Talk openly with children and young people about consent, equality, and healthy relationships.”
-
“Support local efforts to end violence – by being open to learning more, sharing resources, and backing community organisations.”
