Forming deep connections with people helps us to navigate through life. We wear emotional armour to cope, to protect us from falling apart. Feeling that it’s impossible to do anything about real issues is leading to more and more people suffering from mental health issues. Is it their fault? Women in particular, often bear the brunt of life’s hardships, inequalities and the fall-out of violence, which can lead to disconnect and despair.

Our Armour sees Blend Community Choir sing out their fears, truths and hopes for a kinder, better future.

Blend was created as a platform for improvisation and self expression through song, sonic meditation and spoken word.
